Handbuilding Ceramics - Four Week Course - June
A brand new handbuilding course, running on Monday evenings for 4 weeks!
The ticket cost will cover you for all four sessions, inclusive of all materials and firings.
Get to grips with the fundamentals of handbuilding, learn some traditional techniques and pick up some more contemporary approaches. We'll run you through all the necessary tools and materials - with an array of tips and tricks to get you making as soon as possible!
The sessions will be on the following Mondays: 10th June, 17th June, 24th June, 1st July.
4 Week Throwing Non-Taught
*NOTE* These are non-taught sessions, however there will be a studio technician around to answer questions and lend a hand.
A series of sessions dedicated to potters that simply want more time on the wheel. Suited to those that have previously attended a throwing course and are comfortable working independantly.
All clay, glaze and kiln firings included. Maximum 12 pots per person.
The sessions will run from 10am - 12:30 on the following Saturday's; 6th April, 13th April, 20th April, 27th April.
4 Week Improvers Throwing Course
A new course designed for those with some prior experience on the potter's wheel!
Ideal for intermediate participants or those who have previously taken a pottery class and are eager to devlop their skills further. We will cover flat ware, lidded forms and centring larger amounts of clay. Build upon existing skills and an array of new techniques.
Prerequisites - Ability to comfortably centre and throw basic forms.

The sessions will run from 6pm - 8pm on the following Wednesdays; 3rd April, 10th April, 17th April, 24th April.

Screenprinting with Wendy Roby!
Join artist Wendy Roby for a day of creativity where you'll learn a raft of expressive screen printing techniques you can replicate at home. Limited availability.
Ceramic Candlesticks!
Was it Colonel Mustard, in the Dining Room with the Candlestick?
Spend an evening with clay, making a pair of unique candlestick holders.
Using traditional hand-building techniques, we'll be exploring texture and form, with a few options for fancy handles...if you wish!
The perfect gift, or prop for a cosy night in with Cluedo.
Your candlesticks will be glazed and fired, ready for collection 3 weeks post workshop date.
TWIN TOWN - Super 8 Film Workshop!
Join us for a day of film, french and nostalgia, as we explore the magic of analogue film!
As part of our new project 'Twin Town', we're shooting a Super 8 film in collaboration with the French dudes Surveyor 1, all the way from Béziers... and we need some crew!
You'll be putting on your director, story-boarder, actor and camera operator's hat, then hitting the locations to call ACTION!
Together, we'll be making two short films over the course of two, full day workshops with different groups.
Exploring some key creative features of the Super 8 format, experimenting with scenes and visuals, storylining and even some DIY processing techniques.
The finished films will be projected at our exhibition on Friday 8th - Saturday 9th March.
This project is supported by the Stockport Town of Culture Fund.
Pavilion Tiles (FREE)
Join Easy Peel Studio for a fun workshop helping to make ceramic tiles - which will clad a new Pavilion building at Stockport Interchange Park! The tiles will be made with wild clay dug from various places that are connected with the town, celebrating the connectivity and transportation offerings. Each tile will be made by one person and will be completely unique.
This drop-in event is taking place in the covered mall at the Merseyway Shopping Centre. Feel free to swing by and make a tile anytime between 10am - 2pm.

Get to grips with basic hand-building techniques, start rolling slabs of clay, creating interesting textures and decorating with coloured slip! Experiment with handles…

In the workshop, we'll learn about materials and techniques, experimenting with different processes to create patterns and textures and transmuting them to cloth. You'll take home a set of 2 45x45cm linen napkins and silk ribbons, some swatches and you're also welcome to bring a small item* to dye too. A beautiful gift whether for yourself or a loved one.
*must be a natural fibre and white/light base colour.
Christmas Clay!
Come along to our Christmas clay workshop and get festive with decorations.
Create a set of long-lasting, bespoke tree hangers (and other decorations) using traditional hand-building techniques.
We'll be rolling, stamping, cutting and scraping at leather-hard clay and applying colourful slip.
All work will be fired and glazed and ready for collection 10 days from the event date, guaranteed before the big day!

You'll be working with a variety of hardwoods and getting to grips with hand tools and simple carving techniques. Design a piece by shaping your blank, adding texture and creating functional details for candles and nibbles!

Clay Jewellery Making!
Join artist Josie Roberts for a fun morning of making beautiful jewellery pendants - with clay!
We'll start by rolling out slabs of clay, then design and craft bespoke pieces with cutters, creating custom shapes and hand carving. Experiment with textures and colours with a range of glazes.
No previous experience necessary, just enthusiasm and a splash of creativity!
Each participant will create a set of earrings and whatever else you can make!
*Note, no metal hardware, chains, rings or hooks provided. You will be only working with clay, slips and glazes.

Suitable for beginners or those that have already attended a class and want to improve quickly.
We have a small and intimate studio environment, so you will all have plenty of advice and helping hands from our pottery tutors.
During the first session we'll be throwing with clay. In the second you will have the opportunity to add any finishing touches to your collection and add a glaze of your choice. Once fired your work will be ready for collection and put to use!
The sessions are 2-4pm on the following Saturdays; 30th Sept, 7th Oct.
Two-Part Pottery Workshop (Handbuilding)
Delve into the traditional ceramic techniques of hand building, a quick course around all the necessary tools and materials - with an array of tips and tricks to get you making as soon as possible!
During the first session we'll be crafting and sculpting with clay. In the second you will have the opportunity to add any finishing touches to your collection and add a glaze of your choice. Once fired your work will be ready for collection and put to use!

We'll be working with a range of hardwoods, getting to grips with hand tools, designing, shaping and sanding. Learn some traditional and more unusual techniques. Suitable for beginners.
Everyone will walk away with a beautifully made set of wooden hooks, to then be wall or door mounted at home.

In the workshop, we'll explore creating natural dyes from foraged, locally-grown, seasonal and food waste for textiles. Throughout the workshop you'll learn about materials, techniques and processes which you can delve into further - we also encourage anyone to explore any personal projects you might have too. You'll take home your own pair of naturally-dyed socks, as well as a small swatch and recipe book. You're also welcome to bring your own small item* to dye too!

Come along to this evening workshop and walk away with your very own planter box, perfect for veggies, salads and herbs!
A petit jardin for a kitchen windowsill, patio, or front stoop!
We'll be using a range of hand-tools and basic assembly to build the boxes. Once complete, you will have the opportunity to fill your box with compost and plant/sow a selection of fast growing edibles.
Garden Stool Making!
Join Easy Peel Studio in a fun, hands-on woodworking session! Walk in empty handed and walk away with your very own hand-crafted stool, from one of our signature workshop stools!
During the workshop you'll learn some basic woodworking techniques, find your way around a selection of hand tools and much more...
The stool design you will be making will be suitable to live in your garden or green space, however it won't be out of place indoors too!
Outdoor Pottery Throw Down!
A one-off, 2 hour throwing class on the potters wheel. Make what you want, make what you can.
Get to grips with the potters wheel and learn how to centre and lift the clay into a cylinder. Suitable for absolute beginners or those in need of a refresher.
We'll be working outside throughout the entire session, so we're hoping the outcomes are inspired by your surroundings. Think plant pots, bird feeders, various bbq table ware and other garden related objects!
The ticket fee includes your three best pots to be glazed and fired. All work will be ready for collection 2 weeks after the event date. Additional work can be kept and paid for on the day.
Bird Baths!
Delve straight into the world of birds and design/make a clay bird bath for your garden or local green space! Birds not only use water to drink, but they also bathe in it, helping them fluff up their feathers to insulate themselves for the winter months ahead.
During this pottery workshop you'll be working with moulds and crafting the perfect form for our little critters.
Decorate the bath with coloured slips, sculpt a clay bird as a drinking buddy, create some custom stones for perching and consider the fixing or elevation.
All work will be fired and will be ready for collection 2 weeks after the event.
